I’m Andy — and I’ve been living with Type 1 diabetes for over 30 years.

Like many people managing a daily condition, I’ve had moments where I’ve misplaced my insulin pen or left it behind. It might seem like a small thing, but when it’s something you rely on, it can quickly become stressful.

That’s what led me to create a simple solution.

I designed an adapter that allows a compatible tracker, such as an AirTag or Chipolo, to attach to an insulin pen — giving reassurance that it’s always nearby, or easy to find if it isn’t. After using it myself, I found it invaluable.

With the support of SEBI, who helped bring the design into mass production, that idea has now become a product available to others who might benefit from the same peace of mind.

I’m always looking for practical solutions to everyday problems — especially ones that can make life just that little bit easier.
